About Jill Treseder
Jill Treseder feels passionately that women, men and the planet need more of the understanding and behaviour that can be short-handed as ‘feminine’. Jill’s own journey has involved her in encouraging a more feminine style of management in organisations of all sizes and shapes for the last twenty years. She is familiar with the tension involved in being a bridge between worlds, particularly between the emotional and spiritual needs of people and the agenda of commercial competition and the balance sheet. She is a down-to-earth yet inspirational facilitator who combines lightness of touch with the ability to create a safe and confidential space.
Jill has wide experience of facilitating Personal Development programmes in the UK and abroad for individuals, educational and welfare organisations and major corporate institutions. She has worked for a number of independent, charitable and educational organisations, and also undertakes Action Research projects, team building programmes and supervision and mentoring courses. Her original qualification was in professional social work and in 1996 she gained a doctorate researching into effective group work methods in the School of Management at the University of Bath.
Over time she has been a member of a number of women’s groups meeting to read and critique books; to support each other professionally; to share ritual, healing and sacred drama; to write and to dance; and simply to ‘be’ together.
Jill is active in the roles of daughter, mother and grandmother amongst others. She lives with her husband in Devon, where she is part of a lively village community.
Jill Treseder is author of ‘The Wise Woman Within’ and is a prize-winning writer of novels, poems and short stories including ‘The Pier’. She hopes to publish her novel ‘Just Like a Woman’ soon and at present is concentrating on finishing her second novel with the working title ‘The Hatmaker’s Secret’.
